The Challenge Court at The Paseo Club is where you get to compete to be the best tennis player, facing rival after rival — until someone beats you, de-throning you until you get a second chance at glory.
If you love to push yourself to your limits during a tennis match and appreciate an equally challenging opponent, then the Challenge Court is the place for you.

What is the Challenge Court at The Paseo Club?
The Challenge Court is a competitive drop-in tennis event that happens every weekend at The Paseo Club in Santa Clarita. It is an opportunity to contend against other tennis players of the same rating to see who can be the best.
Who can Participate in Challenge Court?
Challenge Court is for tennis players ranked between 3.5 to 4.5+. You must have a USTA rating to participate or meet with Tennis Director Rene Heger to be assessed and awarded a rating.
There are no age restrictions on Challenge Court, so high school and college students are invited to play too — as long as they are appropriately rated.
Challenge Court is available only to Paseo Club members. There are no additional fees to attend this event.
What are the Rules of the Challenge Court?
The rules of the Challenge Court are simple and if you have any questions, there is a tennis instructor to assist you on site.
- Make sure you have a USTA rating of 3.5 or higher, or schedule a meeting with Tennis Director Rene Heger to be assessed.
- Register to play up to three days in advance. 4.5 players register here and 3.5-4 players register here.
- There are no registered time slots to play; it is first-come, first-served.
- Once you arrive, select the correct court for you based on your rating.
- All games are played as doubles, so find a partner — or bring one with you.
- Winners stay on the court for a maximum of three games. Earn two wins in a row to remain for three. After three straight wins, the winners move off the court, so four new players/challengers can begin.
- When waiting for your turn on the court, socialize and have fun!
When is Challenge Court?
Challenge Court is every weekend at The Paseo Club in Santa Clarita. People travel as far as 40 minutes away to play!
Saturday
9 am - noon: 4.5 players on Stadium Court
9:30 am - 12:30 pm: 4.5 players Court 1
9:30 am - 12:30 pm: 3.5-4.0 players Court 2
Sunday
9 am - noon: 4.5 players Stadium Court
9 am - noon: 3.5-4.0 players Court 1
