What is happening at the Paseo Club during the Season of Gratitude?

Autumn has come, and soon we will feel the change in the seasons with cooler weather and holiday celebrations just around the corner. 

The Paseo Club is now offering seasonal programming, featuring the Season of Gratitude beginning October 1 through November 19. 

There are several Halloween-themed events for children and adults. Whether you are a tennis or pickleball player or just excited to party with your friends in your favorite costume, the Paseo Club has you covered.

The Paseo Club is a social club that supports members in health, fitness, and social connections. Every month we have kids’ activities, social events, seasonal parties, and community fundraisers.

In order for you to stay on top of all the great choices, we created our seasonal events article. So, grab your calendar, make your reservations, and plan for a great autumn!

Get ready for the holidays and stock up on premiere wines at a great price. The Paseo Club is teaming up with Winebow Fine Wine & Spirits for a Wine Presale at the clubhouse bar. Choose from bubbles, exclusive specialty wines (only available at restaurants and clubs), white, and red wines. Start ordering now so you never have to go to a party empty-handed!

  • November 8: Wine Tasting 
    If you aren’t sure which wine to order, come to this tasting. It is free to members and is from 7 to 9pm. Lite bites will be available.
  • November 15: Members Wine Pick Up
    Mark your calendar to come by the Paseo Club to pick up your order — just in time for Thanksgiving!

October 1: New Menu at the Cafe

October 4, 11, 18, 25 & November 1, 8, 15: Wine Down Wednesday 

Just when your week seems long and the weekend too far off, the Paseo Club invites you to Wine Down Wednesday. WDW is a weekly event at the Paseo Club with wine, mixed drinks, music, and socializing. 

This event begins at 6 pm and is free to attend. October’s musical lineup is:

Get SocialOctober 5, 12, 19, 26 & November 2, 9, 16: Trivia Night

Every Thursday in October, the Paseo Club will host a trivia night with Food and Beverage Director, Mike Verdi. You can come with your team of trivia fans or form a group on the spot. This event is held at the clubhouse bar and is free. No registration is needed. Trivia Night is from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

October 6: Line and Wine

Join Fitness Director Cezanne Youmazzo on Friday for another amazing night of Line and Wine. Bring your dancing shoes and learn the steps to many popular dances — no experience necessary. Enjoy dancing, drinking wine, and visiting with other members. This is a great date night option! No fee and no registration is required. Line and Wine begins at 6 pm. 

October 7: Walk to End Alzheimer’s

Join the Paseo Team in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s fundraiser. The Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest fundraiser for the care, support, and research of AD. Walks are held in 600 communities each year. The SCV’s walk begins at 8 am. Contact Melanie Vovk for more information or to participate. 

TPC Group Classes CrewOctober 8: Small Group Training Series Begins

Join the Paseo Club fitness community in the Season of Gratitude. There are two new small group training sessions to choose from.

Paseo Tribe Program 

Paseo tribe is a functional fitness program that helps you tone, strengthen, and build endurance. This 6-week series costs $200. Take 10% off and receive Paseo Club swag if you register by September 28. Get 5% off when you register by October 7.

Greatest Results Program

The Greatest Results program helps you get in great shape AND learn how to eat right. This 6-week series costs $300. Take 10% off and receive Paseo Club swag if you register by September 28. Get 5% off when you register by October 7.

November 8: Wine Tasting

The Paseo Club has organized a wine tasting so you can sample a selection of fine wines available through the wine sale. Light appetizers will be available. Order by November 10. The tasting is free to members and is from 7 to 9 pm.

Fitness Director Cezanne Youmazzo invites you to the monthly Pinot and Pilates class. This small group class will help you have a stronger core and better posture. End the session with a couple of glasses of wine and appetizers at the clubhouse. Pinot and Pilates begins at 6 pm and costs $40. Register at the front desk.

October 13-15: PINK Fundraiser 

The Paseo Club’s fitness department is hosting a weekend fundraiser for the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. The BCRF is a non-profit dedicated to preventing and curing breast cancer. All funds raised will be used for breast cancer research and awareness programs.

The kick-off begins with a Zumba class at the Stadium on Friday, October 13 from 5:30 to 7 pm.  Six of the SCV's finest ZUMBA instructors will host so it is sure to be an incredible class! Bring your friends, family, and neighbors because this event is open to non-members.

Donations are accepted in all fitness classes for the rest of the weekend. The suggested donation is $15 per person or $40 per family per class. Wear pink to show your support! Advanced registration is encouraged. 

October 21: Change in Pickleball Schedule

On Saturday, October 21, there will be a private pickleball event, and no drop-in slots will be available.

Halloween Play Date is on Sunday, October 22, from 2-5 pm for 3-5 year olds. A Halloween movie will be shown, and costumes are encouraged! Register by October 20. $15 per child.

 

October 27: Halloween Tennis Mixer

Tennis players of all levels are invited to the Halloween Tennis Mixer. Dress up in your coolest costumes, and come play tennis! There will be two separate draws and prizes for winners and best dressed. This event starts at 6 pm. Sign up using the QR code. The fee is $25 per person and includes a drink ticket.

October 27: Halloween Team Pickleball Tournament

On Friday, October 27th, join the Paseo Club in hosting a four-person team pickleball tournament. Each team needs to have two men and two women to play. Choose intermediate or advanced levels. The cost is $40 per person and includes one drink ticket. Win prizes for first and second place and best-dressed team. 

This event begins at 6:00 pm. Contact the Pickleball Staff for registration or for more information.

Dress in your coolest costume, and celebrate Halloween with the Paseo Club! This annual party is one of the best of the year! There will be a DJ, costume contests, appetizers, and drinks! This event is for members 21+ and is from 7 to 11 pm. Register today!

Ticket pricing is as follows:

  • Sign up by October 1 — $40 per ticket
  • After October 2 — $50 per ticket
  • At the door — $60 per ticket

October 28: Halloween Date Night

Kids Club is opening up the kid zone for Halloween Date Night. This event will be offered in conjunction with the Adult Halloween Party. Date Night is for 4-12-year-olds and is from 7-11 pm. Staff will serve dinner and show a Halloween movie — costumes are encouraged! It costs $30 per child. Register with Kids Club by October 26. 

October 29: Kids Pumpkin Carving 

Paseo Club families are invited to the annual pumpkin carving party. Parents help their children carve pumpkins to make the jack-o-lantern of their dreams. Kids in Halloween costumes can participate in a parade throughout the club, visiting trick-or-treat stations. The party starts at 6 pm and costs $25 per child. Reserve your child’s space by October 23. 

November 5: Winter Hours at the Paseo Club

November 5 is the start of daylight savings, which means the Paseo Club’s winter weekend hours change. Open hours on Monday through Friday remain the same, but weekends will now be open from 7 am to 6 pm

November 5th–15th: Canned Food Drive

The Paseo Club will be collecting donations of food and toiletries to benefit the Santa Clarita Valley Food Pantry. Rice, beans, pasta, fish, sauces, toothbrushes, shampoos, bars of soap, and more are accepted. Boxes for donations will be at the front desk of the club.

November 16: Open House and Member Mixer

Join the Paseo Club for an open house and member mixer on Thursday from 6-8:30 pm. Learn all about the Holiday Season's fitness and court classes, small group training, and dining options. Meet instructors and staff! There is no cost and no registration is needed.


November 17: Give Thanks Date Night 

Kids Club is hosting Date Night on Friday, November 17th. Date Night is for 4-12-year-olds and is from 5:30-9 pm. Staff will serve dinner, play games, and show a movie! It costs $25 per child. Register with Kids Club by November 15.  

November 19: Give Thanks Play Date

Take the afternoon off and bring your child to a Play Date with Kids Club staff. Play Date is on Sunday from 2-5 pm and is for children ages 3-5 years old. Kids can play, draw, and watch a movie. Register by November 17. $15 per child.

Join the Paseo Club and the SCV community for the 2nd Annual Holiday Charity Pickleball Tournament. Dink For Cause is excited to partner with The New Way, a local nonprofit helping unhoused and displaced families. Together we’d like to help make this holiday season a little brighter for them! 

Men’s and women’s doubles play on Saturday and mixed doubles play on Sunday at the Paseo Club. The fee to participate is $70, the second event fee is $30, and there is a $5 service fee per event. You are not going to want to miss this! Registration is open!

Jen Azevedo is a tennis professional, pickleball professional, personal trainer, group exercise instructor, and the general manager of the Paseo Club. She loves the community at the Paseo Club and that it is also a safe and fun place for her daughter. Jen’s favorite activities are joining her tribe for trail races or her partners for tennis matches. Occasionally Jen slows down to relax with a book — she reads over 100 a year!
