Workout Classes Near Me: HIIT, Cycle, and Strength Training in Santa Clarita

Working out on your own, day after day, can be tedious and uninspiring. It’s difficult to come up with the variety, challenge, and camaraderie, making it easy to lose steam and plateau.

Group fitness classes are an excellent option to help you stay committed and excited about exercise. Whether it is a hard-hitting HIIT class, a quad-busting cycle class, or a sweat-inducing strength training class, you can find motivation to work out consistently.

The Paseo Club is a private club in the Santa Clarita Valley that offers fitness, Pilates, swimming, tennis, and pickleball. The club has served the SCV community for over 20 years and is open to members of all ages and interests.

Although we offer dozens of amazing programs, there are many options for workout classes in the area. In order to help you select the right ones for you, we compiled this list of HIIT, Cycle, and Strength Training classes in the SCV. Classes are listed alphabetically.

HIIT is an acronym for high-intensity interval training. Classes often begin with a warm-up and end with a cool-down. In the middle is an energetic program of demanding and challenging movements interspersed with periods of rest. Common exercises include burpees, squats, lunges, sit-ups, and push-ups.

Afterburn Fitness offers several classes a day, starting as early as 4 am. Check out LIFT, Interval X, and Shred classes.
The Camp Transformation Center offers a 6-week Challenge program to help members build muscle and burn fat. Their program is a results-driven approach to help people make real, trackable progress.
Cave Training teaches CrossFit-inspired classes to help members build functional fitness. Classes constantly change, so you are always challenged and never get bored. Shred is Cave’s HIIT class that includes strength, conditioning, and cardio.
CrossFit SCV is a CrossFit affiliate that combines weight training, cardio, and gymnastics movements for one of the most well-rounded fitness programs in the world. Workouts are often 10-25 minutes long, and many of them (although not all) are HIIT.
IMG_1958Crunch Fitness teaches HIITZone class for members with a Peak Results membership. Classes cap at 16 people and last 45 minutes. Fit Body Boot Camp is a weight loss fitness program designed to help you get results. Classes are only 30 minutes long but utilize HIIT training, so your body burns calories for up to 36 hours after each workout.
Flex ‘n Burn of Valencia teaches HIIT class seven days per week. Their classes emphasize resistance training at a cardio-paced level to help you burn fat and grow muscle.
Hardcore Fitness is a private gym with two locations. Their Fight Class is a HIIT class that includes battle ropes, boxing, rowing, and more.
HOTWORX of Santa Clarita takes HIIT in a unique direction. Classes are led in an infrared sauna and last only 15 minutes. Classes are taught via digital interface. There are three HIIT options — Hot Cycle, Hot Thunder, and Hot Blast.
Mind Body Soul Fitness in Valencia offers group HIIT classes for people of all fitness levels. Their classes focus on cardio, weights, boxing, and core strength. HIIT classes are offered four times a day, most days.
Results Fitness in Newhall offers a HIIT class called Shred. Members wear Accurofit heart rate monitors to track their heart rate zones and calories burned. It is a great way to tailor your workout to optimize results.

Cycle class is a way to build strength, cardiovascular endurance, and very cute legs! Cycling is completely customizable to your ability and is an effective choice for beginner, intermediate, and advanced athletes. Cycling not only targets your entire lower body but also your core and back muscles.

Get Sweat Studio is a heated cycle studio in Valencia. Classes are led in darkened rooms by instructors with upbeat music in the background. Classes feature HIIT-based hills and sprints, and they include a weighted arm section, so you can get a full-body workout.
Henry Mayo has five cycle classes per week, including one on Saturday.
HOTWORX offers a HIIT cycle class in their infrared saunas. They are led through virtual instruction and last only 15 minutes. The classes max at three people.
LA Fitness offers free group fitness classes with membership. Cycle classes are taught most days of the week, often with a morning and afternoon option.
Santa Clarita Athletic Club is a full-service fitness center with cycle classes on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 8 am.

Cardio has historically been the most popular form of exercise. Yet, more recently, strength training has come to the forefront of the fitness movement as essential for people of all ages and genders. Resistance-based workouts are highly recommended for burning fat, developing muscle, and boosting overall power. Many athletes cross-train with weights so they can develop better performance in their sport.

Cave Training offers an hour-long LIFT class that focuses on barbell work. Learn proper form and technique while building muscle. This class is for newbies and veterans alike.
Hardcore Fitness offers a LIFT class focused on strength training and core, although there is also a cardio component. Classes last 60 minutes.
Orange Theory’s Strength class is a resistance-focused program that helps you develop lean muscle and more power. This class uses dumbbells and TRX suspension training for a low-impact workout.
1RMStrength is a weight training and bodybuilding gym in Santa Clarita. They have an extensive list of strength training equipment, including GHD machines, echo bikes, back extension machines, leg presses, and rigs for Olympic lifting. At this time, there are no classes offered, but it is a great place to train on your own.
