To maximize your workouts, you need a recovery routine. Living in a hot climate doesn’t replace heat therapy. Research indicates that heat therapy is crucial for reducing stiffness, soreness, and inflammation that comes from exercise.

The Paseo Club has served Santa Clarita for over 20 years, offering fitness, Pilates, tennis, pickleball, swimming, dining, a pro shop, spa services, and executive locker rooms with saunas and steam rooms.

It is easy to fall into a pattern of focusing exclusively on your exercise routine in order to get fit.

Although the type of exercise you perform and your frequency and duration are highly influential, you will not obtain optimum results if you don’t pay attention to your recovery.

Recovery refers to the process of your body coming back to “baseline” after exercise. Being physically active is great for your physical and mental health, but it stresses your body. After working out, you need to repair, rebuild, and strengthen yourself.

When you implement a consistent recovery practice, you will reduce pain, tension, and the chance of injury. It also boosts your performance the next time you exercise. This is true for teens, adults, seniors, and athletes of all skill levels, beginners through pros.
