October 31st, 2022 | 6 min. read

By Jen Azevedo

Performing Pilates on a reformer machine activates every muscle fiber in the body for a comprehensive mind-body workout. Because of how comprehensive it is, Pilates has become an incredibly popular form of exercise.

If you are in the Santa Clarita Valley, you may be wondering where to find a great Pilates studio near you. But when you search for answers, the list of choices can be overwhelming.

The Paseo Club is a social club in the Santa Clarita Valley that has a range of options for supporting your fitness needs, including reformer and mat Pilates classes that are offered daily.

In fact, we have been teaching Pilates for over nine years and have over 600 different members come to our classes each year.

But we recognize that doing Pilates at the Paseo Club is not for everybody. There are a lot of other great choices in Santa Clarita and we want to help you find the Pilates studio that is best suited for you.

In this article, we will share with you where you can find the best reformer Pilates classes in the Santa Clarita Valley, a description of the facility, and the cost of the classes. Read on to learn more.

What is a Pilates reformer machine?

The Pilates reformer is a piece of equipment designed by Joseph Pilates that looks like a bed with springs. It has a sliding carriage, ropes, and pulleys.

People can do a wide variety of exercises on the reformer by pushing or pulling the carriage or holding the carriage steady. You can complete the exercises lying down, sitting, or standing.

Reformer Pilates classes are proven to build strength, flexibility, coordination, and balance, which makes them a perfect workout for people of all ages and abilities.

How to select a reformer Pilates class in the Santa Clarita Valley

There are many options for attending reformer Pilates classes in the Santa Clarita Valley. It may feel that there are even too many to choose!

If that is the case for you, here are some questions you can ask yourself that may help narrow down the choices.

  • Which studio is near my work or home so I can drive less?
  • Is there a studio that offers a class that most targets what I want?
  • What studio offers classes during the time I am most likely to attend?
  • Which studios offer free initial classes so I can try the studio out without having to pay?
  • Do I have a friend that goes to a reformer Pilates class that can make me a recommendation?

The Paseo Club offers a range of facilities — pickleball and tennis courts, a junior-Olympic pool, a cycle studio, a yoga studio, and a gym.

We also offer introductory and advanced mat and reformer Pilates classes
